Tuesday, January 10, 2023 - Let's start from the beginning. Cork - like from 5 years old wine ( see my photo). Sediments - visible, 3 on scale of 5. Color - still closer to red then brown. An hour of decanting ( not enough!)
First sniff and I knew that the wine will be great! Forest, cedar, vanilla, black currant, tobacco, leather. All elegant and in perfect balance.
Taste - first glass... good, but somehow messy. Second glass - here we go. Elegant, balanced and still with good structure. First of all - no tannins, but acidity is here and lovely mocca( I wonder how much Merlot is in this mix). Fruits like black currant, black cherry and plum are here, but shy.( if you have this vintage, don't wait any longer). Tobacco kicks my tongue. Nice "refreshment" from cedar.
Spice at finish. Silky texture.
The longer I drink it the more I like it ( written after second glass) 🤠
Red cherry marmalade is all over now
