Tuesday, January 9, 2018 - Medium purple color, modest sedimentation. Cedar with a touch of tobacco on the nose. On the palate, red currant and vanilla in a nice harmony. Very smooth at the onset and throughout a long finish. I was expecting that the wine might be evidencing some sign of fading, as the Artemis is not the longest lived CS made by Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, but was pleasantly surprised. Across the board, I have found the recent bottles of 2007 Napa CS, including the Artemis are evolving nicely and would seem to have years left.
