Wednesday, November 17, 2010 - Liked this a lot better than I thought I would. there is that smokiness I see sometimes in Oregon pinot (yes- this is from CA), almost creosote here, but restrained; cigar, wood smoke. There is black cherry on the nose but I am telling you this is like drinking wine in the Lapis Spa, so there must be some eucalyptus there. There is dried apricot on the back end of the palate.
