Not much smell happening here and the finish is hot. I think this is over the hill. My previous bottle a couple of years ago had a lot more fruit and complexity. I may pour this on my fruit cakes!

Wow! I was blown away by this wine. If blind tasted I would have guessed Kosta or Kanzler. For $23 this represent the best value in California PN I've experieced by far. So sorry that I only bought 1. Drinking amazing with brief decant in the glass. Drink now while the fruit is vibrant.

I just love this particular Pinot Noir. A fantastic QPR with loads of taste. Fully flavored without out being overly heavy, or overpowering. Light notes of oak and chocolate with hint of blackberry on the finish.

Pop and pour. Tasted over about 1 hour period. Nice earthy nose; has a hidden berry element on the nose. Good body; night balance between the fruit, and earthy elements with well integrated and soft tannins.

Much like my bottle on 5/29/2010. The nose was wonderful with scents of blueberry, oak, black cherry and violets. However, the palate was thin and sour. Even with an hour of air. Withholding Score.

Liked this a lot better than I thought I would. there is that smokiness I see sometimes in Oregon pinot (yes- this is from CA), almost creosote here, but restrained; cigar, wood smoke. There is black cherry on the nose but I am telling you this is like drinking wine in the Lapis Spa, so there must be some eucalyptus there. There is dried apricot on the back end of the palate.

Very fruit forward, concentrated and ripe - with very dark fruit and spice flavors. Lots of acidity and smooth tannins. Very California in style and while not my favorite style, this was very good.

Had a bad bottle as well. Very musty smell, pungent like mushrooms and burnt sage. Could taste the dark fruit but something was not right with the bottle. I have one left hopefully my luck will be better on number two.

Much like the first bottle. Sweet dark fruit. Blueberry, black cherry, vanilla and spices. Same on the palate with polished tannins and balanced acidity. Medium-length finish. Very nice. Outstanding

This bottle was not nearly as good as the previous raising concerns about bottle variation (hard to believe with this small production). Stuff just seemedd off... sour, tart, high acid. Withholding score.

Find this wine... buy at least 6. This is good stuff. Popped and poured (and... <gulp>... actually served with sushi). Right out of the bottle, there are complex aromas of blueberry, cherry, vanilla, spices and cherry. On the palate, there is bright acidity and smooth tannins. Flavors of plum, cherries and vanilla leave you wanting more after every sip. I definitely need to get a few more of these. Outstanding

PeThe Chimera is a bleond of Hendricks (Sonoma Coast), Freestone & Widdoes (Russian River), Wilson Vineyard (Sonoma Coast) and Garys’ & Pisoni (Santa Lucia Highlands) vineyards. Only 500 cases were produced! The wine has a deep ruby purple color. Sweet aromas of black cherry, cranberry, red currant, brown sugar, spice and cinnamon stick. Rich and full-bodied, this wine has red cherry and ripe plum flavors that make for a seamless and pure Pinot Noir. r Frank at Golden Gate Wine Cellar

Popped and let breathe for about 2 hrs. this time. Unfurled slowly and came into its own. Bright, tangy fruit with hints of spice. Big on the palate but in balance.

dark ruby. A little closed on the nose with a little rhubarb and cherry peeking through. Full bodied and substantial on the palate. Big tangy red fruit with a hint of raisiny goodness. Still young and evolving in the glass...

Very nice wine and ready to go. Not a ton of complexity but the fruit is beautiful and the wine is well made. A very good QPR for $28 locally.

Nice bottle but seems really dark to be a pinot. Wouldn't be surprised if some syrah was mixed in as it's a little sweet on the palatte.
