Wednesday, June 2, 2021 - Pale yellow in color. Very expressive nose suggests orchard stone fruits, citrus oils, buttered popcorn, chalk and yellow flowers. Broad and expansive palate shows sweet buttered pears and peaches, wet stones, limestone, superb acidity and a very long mineral tinged finish. This is rather excellent although this is a ripe CC that is showing its oak upbringing. Today I felt the 2008 was truer to the appellation compared to the 2009.
