Tuesday, February 3, 2015 - Opaque crimson color. Serious nose of charred firewood, red rocks, rich savory aromas, a funky barnyard smell, and a slightly vegetal note. The palate on this is comparably dense and austere, and remains in the grip of very assertive tannins. There's so much potential here, but it will take another ten years in the cellar to unfold. This is a spectacular value at the $25/bottle I paid.
