Saturday, June 11, 2016 - Cork stained half-way up. Decanted and found minimal sediment: Odd, since my notes of 7/26/2015 indicated a moderate amount. First pour after 90 minutes. Still a deep garnet color, and with no bricking. Plum, plus a slight funk on the nose which should blow off. On the palate, again I find plums and dark cherries. Overall, the wine seems in better balance than last year as the tannins have faded somewhat. I'm upping my rating two points and plan to drink my remaining bottles over the next three years.
