Friday, June 7, 2013 - An absolutely stunning wine, the 2009 Felseneck GG is just magical. Yes, this is one of the more massive and fully packed Rieslings around but it certainly plays on a very elegant and fine tuned grand piano. The nose is full of rich lime, lemon and lychee adjoined by lovely tones of orange zest and saline minerals. The palate is perfectly balanced but the acidity is very eloquent and certainly does not let the taste pass by without saying a cordial hello. The length on the finish lasts about one minute or more and the wine just keeps on clinging to the back end of the palate for what seems to be an eternity. A brutally good wine. A true masterpiece.
