91 Points

Sunday, January 11, 2015 - Decanted for a good hour before tasting. Dark purple core, pink rim. Sweet blue fruit with further hints of espresso, liquorish, menthol and cedar-wood. Very forward in style – monolithic fruit, lots of dry extract and moderate grip. This is pretty much as close to a stereotypical Cali Cab as you can get, and will no doubt divide opinions. High quality raw materials and winemaking, but the end result will not be to everybody’s taste. Should keep for a few more years, but shedding more tannin will quickly render it flabby. Hard to dislike, but in my wiev best without food.
