Tuesday, October 25, 2011 - 2008 Diamond Creek Cabs (Binny's Highland park): nose: very perfumed nose with a real good amount of elegance behind it. Deep and balanced with tones of red currants, dark red cherries, and some iodine tones. Well layered and with good depth already though it is on the tighter side

taste: full bodied with some chewy tannins that one would expect from such a young diamond creek. Taught, but well balanced with deeper tones of red currants, chocolate, dark red cherries and some iodine tones

overall: this was showing more of the tannic nature I would expect from such a young diamond creek cab. Well balanced with a real elegant side to it, this certainly needs time but the stuffing is there for this to be something special
