Awesome wine. Red fruited, polished, with fine acidity and poise. Has a little of everything, with cherry and cranberry nose, stony quality on the palate and strong length. Haven't had much from this producer but this was impressive.

Stunning. Is in a perfect place right now but will go on for at Long time as is still very fruit driven. Classic Napa. Cassis and blackberry. Tannins well integrated. Some clove and mint. Just a huge pleasure to drink. Sadly my last bottle - will need to buy more

(tasted blind) Deep purple. Mint and black fruit. Very confected Christmas pudding note of maraschino cherry, sweet spice, vanilla and cream. In the mouth rich, creamy and spicy. Plenty of alcohol heat. Christmas cake again, lots going on. Toasted oak. Touches of coconut - though there is no dominant fruit profile there is plenty of fruit. Also, it's a little bit sickly - almost off dry? Good quality oak. Too much for me though. .

2013 Passport Tasting. Lovely rich dark fruit on the nose, more of the same on the palate, surprisingly almost fruit forward, medium/big body, medium finish.

Not being a CA cab lover, I'm drinking and selling my inventory. That said, this was one of the best CA cabs I've had in awhile. Not overly complex but a beautiful nose. Saved half a bottle to drink today, so will be fun to see where it goes. Not as tannic as I expected. A worth domestic wine IMO.

Stunning paired with grilled lamb chops. Ripe fruits of dark cherry with chocolate accents, great body with long finish. Big and bold but drinking very well right now.

Tobacco leaf, truffle and cassis scents are easy to find in this full bodied, traditionally styled, bright, California Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine ends with crunchy, cassis and blackberry with a hint of green in the tannic finish. This is not a fun wine to drink young.

2008 Diamond Creek Cabs (Binny's Highland park): nose: very perfumed nose with a real good amount of elegance behind it. Deep and balanced with tones of red currants, dark red cherries, and some iodine tones. Well layered and with good depth already though it is on the tighter side
taste: full bodied with some chewy tannins that one would expect from such a young diamond creek. Taught, but well balanced with deeper tones of red currants, chocolate, dark red cherries and some iodine tones
overall: this was showing more of the tannic nature I would expect from such a young diamond creek cab. Well balanced with a real elegant side to it, this certainly needs time but the stuffing is there for this to be something special

Delicious wine. Has mellowed with time - this isn't a huge blockbuster. Great cassis and fruit purity.

Heritage Grand Wine Tasting (Ritz-Carlton - Chicago, IL): Great Diamond Creek. Rustic qualities like the DC's of old. Stlil ripe Napa fruit with plush iron and red dust. Great finish. Elegance at it's finest.
