Sunday, October 15, 2023 - My only bdx this eve, chateau Batailley 2009.
A: medium garnet red, some brick change at the rim
N: classic paulliac bouquet with floral bramble, cassis, log burner smoke, vanilla and toast.
P: initally fruit forward but after a couple hours decanting the cedary vanilla and mushroom notes started to show.
Some leather, dryness, firm integrated tannins, great mouth feel, medium finish and, for me, a firm 92 points.
Paired with pork Sunday roast.
