Thursday, March 31, 2022 - This was bottle no 11 since arrivage in fairy regular intervals. Poured into decanter and drank over 2h. The 09 Batailley has been a beautiful Pauillac at almost any stage of its evolution (the exception being some time in 2014/2014 where the oak was overwhelming). Interestingly the wine seems to gaining a bit of weight after appearing barely medium bodied 12-24 months ago. I love the fact that this has only 13% alcohol in the often (too) rich and exuberant 2009 Bordeaux vintage. Glad I have another 2 cases left. Drink anytime over the next 20 years.
