Friday, October 19, 2018 - Pichon Baron Vertical: Big, ripe, luscious, swaggering nose - is it too big? Raspberry, luscious oak, cedar, very polished. Loads of glycerin on the palate; a touch hot, though. Bumptious. Charming, but seemingly specious. Lots of flesh and texture, but not with the complexity and upright posture one might want in a great vintage of PB. 92-3. I kept marking this down the longer it sat in the glass.
