Sunday, January 6, 2019 - First bottle from this producer; purchased in 2009; the cork had a perfect seal; very dark in color; nose is earthy and savory initially showing what I suspect is some syrah/mourvedre notes; with air this opens to show more ripe dark berry fruits and hints of spice; the palate has good concentration and is fairly well balanced; definitely has good structure and the alcohol is not super high as in many Chateauneuf's; the acidity is also more; this held up well over 2 hours and paired well with lamb. It certainly is no where near fading if stored well and the cork is solid. But not likely a ton of upside to cellaring further as it is nicely integrated and tasty.
