Saturday, September 2, 2023 - {cork, 14.5%} Lots of plum and blueberry fruit, maturing nicely. Was decanted for about half an hour prior to consumption. More about the rich fruit and chocolatey oak than real complexity of flavour, but it’s still impressive enough at twenty years. Medium powdery tannins, medium acidity. I enjoyed this very much but there’s nothing very subtle about it. Medium length finish. Not sure it was an especially good vintage for this label, and I think they were still finding the style after only five vintages or so. Will keep, but I’m not sure if there’s any more interest to come.
