Friday, September 7, 2012 - Reductive, metallic and ultimately chaotic nose with porcini juice, raspberries, sesame oil and matchsticks all elbowing each other in the groin. Pretty it ain't; engaging it is. I like it. The palate shows a slightly more conventional cherry-based fruit character; fabulous acidic backbone and punchy tannins. Certainly needs time in bottle to unravel. Full of earthy, uncompromising character.
