Thursday, May 13, 2010 - Pale straw. Distinct spice character. A hint of SO2 and petrol. Lime, guava and lychee on the palate. Dry, 12%. A very refined riesling - mellow acid balance. This wine is all about balance in the glass. Best '09 Tassie riesling I have had thus far. I wonder about the aging profile - as it is not an acid monster - but this wine is certainly drinking well at the moment. It could be the wine ages on balance (and the stelvin). Gold medal wine at Tassie wine show.
