Forward and honied, suave texture, lovely battle age complexity. Impeccable balance. One could argue that the wine could use a little more acid, but the overall impression is one of deliciousness and a style that is absolutely drinking well at the moment.

50/70 Celebration for Marc and Bud (Ponsonby, Auckland, New Zealand): Impeccable balance is the most impressive feature of this wine. Gentle acid is a feature of the structure and the couple of years aging has brought out subtle petrol and mineral aspects to the beeswax and textbook varietal aromas. I think this is a wine that will be drinkable at every stage of its development. A surprise at the table and a wine that held its head high in the company of some serious wine company.

Pale straw. Distinct spice character. A hint of SO2 and petrol. Lime, guava and lychee on the palate. Dry, 12%. A very refined riesling - mellow acid balance. This wine is all about balance in the glass. Best '09 Tassie riesling I have had thus far. I wonder about the aging profile - as it is not an acid monster - but this wine is certainly drinking well at the moment. It could be the wine ages on balance (and the stelvin). Gold medal wine at Tassie wine show.
