Saturday, July 17, 2021 - Short decant. You can see the age, the wine is bricking but still lively in the nose. Not a lot of fruit left, it smells of forest floor - fresh, like spring. Some darker berry fruit on the palate, it’s subtle but it’s hanging on. Damp soil, mushrooms, cocoa powder, thyme. Soft, resolved and easy to drink.

Its time though, by the last glass some four hours open it was close to spent.
