Friday, July 22, 2022 - It was a delicious red that we consumed along side the 2010. It smells like blackberry, raspberry, cherry and light toast with clove and spice on the nose. There was no sediment in the bottle and there were medium/small legs. At the beginning the taste is of clove, rosemary and a little spice that subsides to a silky smooth blackberry and cherry and red currant flavor with a hint of light toast. The clove and spice kicks in nicely at the end to have a nice flavor journey. A low acidity and the silky texture, with a full body complex flavor makes it a favorite. We consumed with pappardelle pasta with lamb slow- braised in red wine and tomato sauce, and short rib ravioli. It went very well with the pappardelle pasta with lamb.
