Saturday, October 15, 2011 - Consumed over two days. Day1-App:Very dark but slightly ruby/garnet rim. Nose:Oaky. Quite chunky. Crushed black fruits. Palate:Oaky and quite tannic. Fruit struggling against the oak. NEEDS TIME. Day2-App:Noticeable garnet rim. Nose:Less oaky - sweet fruit dominates - redcurrant and blackberries. Medicinal and herby notes. Palate:Rich. Deep black fruit and olives. Herby undertones. Good length. Excellent. Conc:Improved hugely after 24hrs in decanter. NEEDS TIME. Drink 2013 onwards or decant.
