Sunday, January 23, 2011 - Took a little too long to open up...I served to my guests just after opening the bottle. Thought it would pair well with sausages that had just come off the grill. I was expecting the opulence, smoke and spice I experienced during the tasting. Some of it was there, but just too subdued. Regardless, it was tasty to my guests, but I knew this wine was capable of more. I will decant my remaining bottle for at least 20-30 minutes before trying.
