Sunday, August 27, 2023 - Pleased to be trying it again after 9 yrs. Decanted 2 hours. Deep ruby. Clean, med+ black fruit, dried herbs, dried flowers, earth & some oak spice. Aged for 24 mos. in French oak barriques and large Slavonian oak casks. Dry but w/ plenty of dark, brooding fruit. Med acid, med+ tannins and med+ alcohol (14%). Full-bodied, w/ pronounced flavor intensity & length. Just starting to hit its stride, but w/ plenty of aging potential left. A very impressive wine at a very reasonable price.
