Thursday, June 26, 2014 - Great spicy aromatics/ fruit aromas for the first hour in the glass before tasting. High anticipation based on nice aromatics. On the palate nothing special for a $40 bottle of Napa cab. Yes its good but about what a $40 cab brings, nothing more. Will let my other bottle wait another several years …. Plenty of nice tannins to hold on. No over oak on this, which is good. I’m now thinking that Spring Mountain fruit for me is just ok. Went well with steak. Two hours later palate profile remains and aromatics have diminished.
