Sunday, October 23, 2016 - Two years since my last tasting have served this wine very well! Pours inky purple/black; Black pepper, pine needles and toasted oak on the nose. Really well-balanced - where i last found a fairly dry wine, this has great dark fruit (blackberry, black plum) along with spice rack and vanilla in a very approachable package. There's a hint of front-palate dryness, but this is very drinkable both on its own and alongside some filets. Would drink by 2018-9 for optimal enjoyment; this has aged quite a bit in the last two years.
