Monday, July 7, 2014 - Advanced golden color. On opening, I thought this might be slightly oxidized. However, with some air things started to come together. Deep honeyed richness can be easily detected on the nose. There is also some melon mixed with a touch of oak spice (not at all dominant). The palate is just huge with extract. Like Chardonnay syrup. That said, it finishes well. Big for sure but not noticeably alcoholic. Quite unique but delicious. One of the best California chardonnay's I have tasted. (97)
