Likes this wine:

90 Points

Sunday, April 2, 2023 - From a half-bottle. Nice very dark red, bordering on what I call fire-red, with a black core. No bricking. On the nose upon opening, aromas of raspberries, strawberries, cedar. With added air, aromas of blackcurrant and Autumn leaves appear. On the palate, the attack is frank, fruity/tannic with the aromas as found on the nose, and a good acidity on the long tannic/fruity finale. Still quite firm, this doesn't seem to have budged since the last tasting. Unfortunately, this won't be accompanied by an appropriate pairing, but even alone, it is quite good if a little too firm. No rush at this point, probably ok for at least another 5-6 years. 90 or so

With even more air, aromas of redcurrant jelly appear. I have always like the way the aromas evolve over time with this wine. Next time, open a min. of 30-45 minutes before.
