Friday, July 19, 2013 - Consumed over 2 days, note from day 2. Nose: Medium plus expressiveness, candied dark fruit - black berry & blueberry, spice, and licorice. Palate: Full bodied, dark fruit attack - though it isn't as sweet and candied as the nose indicates, a little spice and acid kick thru the mid-palate, shows some leather and tobacco towards the back-end. Finish: Medium length finish dominated by dark fruit, leather, and tobacco. It's a big wine but it carries it weight pretty gracefully.
