Saturday, February 26, 2011 - Decanted and started to drink immediately. Intense bright cherry, pomegranate, fresh, balanced, but the strong acidity of 2001 was quite clear, but not taking anything away. Spicy, and rich in that unique Rousseau way. This is a great wine, drinking great now, but will last a long time and I suspect put on weight as the fruit is there to balance the acidity as it tempers. I would taste when opened and give it an hour or so if you drink now.
