Thursday, June 16, 2016 - [IWFS-Vic Top Burgundy Grand Crus Dinner at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Melbourne] Translucent medium crimson-purple. Violet-scented black & red cherry bouquet with suggestions of wet soil, mineral, spice & a touch of BF creamy oak. Medium plus, moderately concentrated but rather deep & intense, ample & broad black & red fruits superbly interlaced with the supple ripe tannins, powdery dry extracts & fine acidity present & continuing on a slow evolution process as demonstrated by the very recent emergence of secondary nuances of meat, game & leather. Long delicate & persistent finish with a creamy twist.
