Friday, March 30, 2012 - Decanted an hour before drinking. Dark ruby with a hint of youthful purple color. Wonderful nose of dark berries, spice. The nose provides a hint of fruit forward. The palate focuses on cassis, blackberry with additional layers of tobacco, light smoke, earthiness. Excellent tannic structure - not overbearing at all. Nice finish with no bitterness. For such a young wine, there is a lot going on. My first experience with this wine, and it does not disappoint.
