Monday, September 13, 2010 - J-F Mugnier Cellar Visit and Tasting (Chambolle-Musigny): Tasting at Domaine. Black fruit with an intense lush, sweet character to it. Powerful and large scaled wine, this is very impressive for its level and price where I expect it will sell. To date, Mugnier's Clos de la Marechale have mostly been wines easily enjoyed when young, and while I think this 2009 has so much primary fruit so can be enjoyed in 2012 or 2013, it will really benefit from time in the cellar. I expect to stash away a case.
