Monday, May 4, 2015 - 2 hour decant. From memory. Beautiful, and beautifully made wine: powerful, cedar and blackcurrant driven nose. Palate rich but dry, intense, dark - incredible concentration for the vintage - leather and forest as well as iron / mineral element. Balance was remarkable - everything exactly as it should be. We tried the 04 Lalande alongside - a success for the vintage too - but, even allowing for the different style, it didn't come close. I am scoring even though it seems pointless: playing in a different league. As great a wine experience as I have had.
