Wednesday, March 24, 2021 - Champagne Andre Clouet Brut Rose No3

Pale rose gold color with fine persistent bead.

Bouquet initially is earth and umami with mushroom, antique books and some musty cellar. After an hour open it transitions to white flowers and angostura bitters. Some leesy notes.

Body is unctuous and full but minimal on toast/brioche. Orange oil, a bit like Campari persists on the finish.

Tasted over 2+ hours. Lost effervescence quickly when in universal glass.

100% Bouzy Grand Cru P/N with 10% of it added as still red wine to BdN base.
