Medium salmon pink colour. Small and lazy bubbles. Medium and developing nose with red currant, wild raspberry, wild strawberries, ripe lemon, toast, brioche and wet stone. Medium taste of red currant, wild strawberry, ripe lemon, toast and wet stone. Medium long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Rosé Champagne. Needed 15 min in the glass to open. Goes well as an aperitif, or with sushi.

More on the fruity side of the spectrume of the rosé champagnes. Instant strawberry jam and almond icing followed by red cassics and fresh wild strawberries. Very red fruit dominated. Maybe some dark cherries in the background and acetaldehyde (marker pen).
Palate is medium fruity with again strawberry jam and wild strawberries. Would prefer some more acidity since this gets a little bit "too sweet" for me. Mediokre structure.

Bouquet initially is earth and umami with mushroom, antique books and some musty cellar. After an hour open it transitions to white flowers and angostura bitters. Some leesy notes.
Body is unctuous and full but minimal on toast/brioche. Orange oil, a bit like Campari persists on the finish.
Tasted over 2+ hours. Lost effervescence quickly when in universal glass.

Dricker den med stor behållning. Kommer inte upp i samma höjder när det gäller prisvärdhet som den vanliga "Prestige". En utmärkt rosé även om jag tycker det finns flera i Bouzy som överträffar denna - inte minst de som väljer makeration.

Bouzy? Grand Cru? Rosé? Triple play. A bit darker than most Rosé Champers, this has Rich red fruit, verve, and plenty of yeastiness. This is the producer that sold me on Bouzy. Close to a Whoa. thedrunkencyclist.com

A solid Rose Champagne with lots of flowers, strawberries and a hint of spices on the nose. Lovely to drink. The acidity is more on a lower level, which in this case I really like. Medium body but always with enough freshness to go down easily. Not super dry.

First time trying this. Dig this rose. Lots of zesty quality here, with seemed like a bitter, red fruit acid note, which energized the texture even more. Need to grab some of these for the cellar.

Today a bit too sweet but nicely balanced. Red berries meet refreshing sugar. NOrmally I like it a hint more., Nice starter for the evening. Powerful but could be more concentrated. In the past I rated higher

Great nose - fresh-picked strawberry, apricot and sweet vanilla. You'll pick up crusty bread notes too but that yeasty quality is much more apparent across the palate. More red berries, nicely tart. With air a note of sweet, tangerine-like citrus emerges too. Thoroughly enjoyable bottle.

Labeled as Brut Rose No3, might make a new wine for this specific labeling. Nice and fresh red cranberry, super fine bubbles and very energetic but I popped this almost as soon as I got home from the store. Great bubbles at a great price... we love Clouet.

Chicago Produttori Normale Dinner (Osteria Langhe): Salmon color. Fresh cut strawberry and raspberry on the nose. Medium body with good tension and cut as the first impression on the palate. Power and muscle carry flavors that echo the nose. Good stuff and excellent value.

Chicago ♥ Produttori (Chicago, IL): For the money, Clouet really can't be beat. This has got to be one of my favourite value rosé Champagnes. This bottle, the last of a small lot of three that I had bought a year ago, has a slightly heady nose with a very pungent whiff of cranberry and strawberry, as well as a light touch of florals. The palate is quite similar, though this is less acidic than I remember it being. Can it be? Has this actually mellowed out? Too bad, this was my last bottle for now. I'll have to restock a half-dozen next time.

The wine is clear and bright with a medium salmon colour and small bubbles.
The nose is clean and fully developed. Showing medium intensity aromas of MLF (cheese), yeast (cereal, brioche, bread dough) and red fruits (red currants, strawberries).
The wine is off-dry in the mouth with a medium(+) refreshing acidity. It has a medium alcohol and a medium body with a delicate mousse. It has medium(+) intensity flavours of MLF (cheese), yeast (cereal, brioche, bread dough) and red fruits (red currants, strawberries). The finish is long.
It is an outstanding qualtiy wine. It has a lingering finish and concentrated flavours. The acidity balances well the fruit and sweetness, and it expressive of its style showing crearly the character of a rosé Champagne through its relatively marked autolytic character.
Drink now, not intended for ageing. The wine is already fully developed, the fruit will fade and it will become flat.

Chambolles and others at Mike and Cathy's: Served blind. Strawberry colour. Nice fine bead. A nose of strawberries, raspberries and a little mandarin. Not strong autolysis notes. Sweet on entry to the palate but dry and relatively savoury on the mid and back palates. Nuances of strawberries, mulberries and rust, actually quite dry, seemed lower dosage. Vibrant and fresh with good acidity. Delicate and elegant. Quite long, finishing mineral. A good Rosé, it would be interesting to cellar.

Fresh cranberry notes on the nose. The palate is still quite tight, and current bottles of this could use more time, but there are light flavours of tart red currant and cranberry. Nice stuff.

Big upfront berry fruit with some creamy vanillla. Turns more tart with grapefruit and lime on the midpalate, and finishes slightly bitter. A crowdpleaser perhaps, but it's all about upfront fruit and lacks other interest, and it's surprisingly poor with food.

Loved the fresh strawberry and cream tones on the nose. The palate was energetic and had a creaminess to it, too. This bottle had some mushroomy tones on the palate that were gorgeously composed. Yum.

Sunday Funday (Chicago, IL): Exactly what I'd want from a rose. This had very pretty cherry and floral aromatics and some tart citrus flavours on the palate. An excellent wine to use as a house rose, the bottle today had a certain amount of vibrancy that a few years will calm down. In exchange, I expect a little bit of funk to develop -- something that Clouet does so well (especially if you've had the Cuvee 1911). On the other hand, if you want something totally electric, pop the cork today.

Quite bright pink, like diluted cranberry juice. Dominated by bitter cranberry flavours and a hint of stewed stone fruit. The palate is dominated by cranberry notes as well, as well as a ton of mouthwatering acidity. Lacking in concentration and extract. A somewhat coarse mousse. Medium-length finish.

Beautiful in the glass, the nose offers notes of cherry, strawberry, and yeast. Medium bodied wine presents round int the mouth, with fine mousse and flavors of tart red berries, delicate croissants, and finishes strongly with clean and fresh mineral and saline notes. Showing very well currently.

Much better than the previous bottle and in line to the 1st one we had. Great nose with elegance. Cherry, raspberry and mineral hint. Vinous but not too heavy with fine bubbles. Powerful yet aerial. Again that sensation that this could be an extra-brut. Very good.

This review is of the current disgorgement commercially available as of August 2013.
A delicate light red to salmon in colour, the nose gives hints of strawberry and red berries.
The palate is broad and oxidative and has excellent structure with savoury strawberry and chalky drying acidity rounding out the palate well. Review Link - www.winereviewer.com.au (drink from 2013-2015)

HDH auction tasting at Tru (and an embarrassment of riches) (Chicago, IL): Strawberry pink. Very bready and yeasty on the nose, as well as some baked apple notes. Perhaps, if you try, a bit of strawberry comes out, but that might just be me knowing that this is a rose. Very, very spritzy, with a coarse mousse. The palate is dominated by very tart red fruits (sour pie cherries and cranberries), and the acidity here is completely overpowering. You'll need a new coat of enamel for your teeth. Perhaps this is too young and high-toned at the moment, I suspect this will get much better with some bottle age.

Rose Fest (Phil's Apartment - Chicago, IL): Very yeasty with lots of energy and nerve. The fruit was especially tart led by cranberries and sour cherries. Thought the balance was there, but would like to see this aged a bit. The firmness might benefit was either some age or extended air.

Normally I try to find something positive in all wines I taste. But this time it is hard. This Champagne is not good. The nose offers up Strawberry soda with a very hard acidic touch. The palate first seems artificial, then just gets sweet and a bit "flabby". The mousse is very hard and edgy and disappears fast. There are better values available.

A nice salmon-pink colour. Pinot berries up front with some muscular, oxidative backup. Raspberries, some licorice, toasted bread, some pears, citrus and old oak casks. Balanced palate with good acidity, decent mousse, nice berry flavours, alright length. Very good at this price point.

Impressive color, dark pink. This should have been decanted. For the 1st 30mn, it was tight and somewhat disjointed. It then really came together. Mineral with high acidity, nice pure red berries notes. Not overly complex but a very good rose, elegant but persistent, extra brut sensation. Food actually made it even better (especially to cut through the acidity).

Quite a savory nose of tire rubber, dried rose, and tart cranberries. The palate is decisively lively with cool red berries, cucumber, and watermelon supported by wet slate and lifting acidity through the finish. A great rose effort at its price.

lovely salmon color. Bracing strawberry and raspberry nose that really wakes you up. This is beautiful - there is a wonderful astringency with red fruit notes that is extremely pleasant. Tiny bubbles that become a tickly choke-point in the throat. The sweetness and astringency is a perfect mix. Drunk with Stash in the AM.

Drank on our one year wedding anniversary. I had this bottle for two and a half years, and it's definitely not drinking as well as the other bottles from the same lot I purchased together (see previous notes). I haven't had a bottle in almost two years. It's still awesomely creamy, but a lot of that beautiful fruit has faded, and it's now a bit yeastier, with almost some mild funk on the nose. Big acids on the palate with the creaminess and fine bubbles, but really not that delicious fruit it had before. No longer fresh as it was. No formal score as I think these NV bottles just need to be drunk sooner than I did this one. It's around 88 points today, though.

This is honestly my first decent champagne I've really sat down and tried to analyze, but I'm enjoying it. It's a nice beverage to sit and contemplate, with its fine bubbles. Nose shows lots of yeasty dough (like making pizza dough from scratch), and perhaps some squash! Very luscious mouthfeel that almost feels like dense air as I splash it around, and showing what seems to be cherry menthol cough drops (but this is quite pleasing), and non-artificial maraschino cherries (as if they existed). Finish is like eating strawberry jelly toast with a thin layer of butter before the jelly goes on. Very delicious. There is quite a bit of acidity present as well so I think this will hold for a while. I will definitely be seeking out more. Bottle Note: this bottle is green with block "CHAMPAGNE" writing on the pink foil. Just picked up four bottles at another store that are clear with cursive writing on a brighter pink foil. According to the importer, what's in the bottle is identical and disgorged weeks apart; just some of his customer's prefer the clear bottle to show off the beautiful color, and others prefer the dark bottle to preserve it better. The cursive foil is an experiment by Jean Francois (the grandson) to streamline some details (though the label from the 1800s remains), and plans on sticking with the cursive.

Sams Rose Champagne Tasting. For what it's worth, the least expensive (one cannot say cheapest in this company) champagne at the tasting, but it doesn't suffer on that account. The only wine that wasn't a blend, in this case 100 % Pinot Noir. Warm pink with a toasty, jammy nose. Chewy, fruity, complex layers and depth.

Showing more mature notes than previous bottles (see TNs). On the nose, light toast and faint oxidative notes. On the palate, it's showing less fruit than previous bottles, with a fairly strong oxidative element and light toast. This is not nearly as exciting as previous bottles... Will report back on another some time soon...

You notice the deep color immediately. Nose of red fruits and toast. In the mouth, this is full bodied and rather winey, with, again, red fruits and toast components. I could see this developing well over a few years in the cellar... For under $30 retail, after discount, this is knock-out rose Champagne.

JAMET Cote-Rotie vertical 1996-2000 - plus a few Champagnes: Less impressive than a previous bottle (see TN). This might have been very slightly corked, as it had a very faint mustiness which was hard to pin down as it seemed to come and go. Either way, certainly, everything seemed muted, compared to a recent bottle, which was excellent. Note: on DAY 2 the mustiness was totally absent, but, still everything seemed a bit muted compared to a previous bottle.

What a deeply colored Rose. Gorgeous bouquet of toast and faint red fruit. Rather large-scaled on the palate, with more of everything found in the nose - especially the toasty, autolytic components. Great balance and length.

Wine Education Service - Growers' Champagne: Bright pinky russet with fine bubbles.
Very attractive nose.
Rich with a hint of sweetness and a bitter finish, long.
