Saturday, January 7, 2023 - Fine wine. All the characteristics of barolo with age (prune, menthol, balsamic, tar, mushroom). Fine structure with acidity and tannins supporting harming alcohol. Lack of mid-palate fruit weight, some earthy flavors lingering. Somehow, it felt a tired wine. Drink now, perhaps past peak?
