Monday, July 20, 2009 - Syrah, Mouvedre, Grenache.
Color: Dark black-ish ruby. Nose: Lots of overwhelming alcohol on the nose, even after several minutes in the glass, berry, plum, spring herbs. Palate: Full bodied but not jammy. Ripe fruit of blackberries and some meaty plum, graphite, brambles, young savory spices. Firm tannins. Long finish. 14.5% alcohol wasn't as pesent after 30 minutes. (D 7.5, F 7)
