90 Points

Thursday, October 20, 2011 - Tasted after a splash decant. Great nose of fruit, mineral, tar, spice and oak. The same flavour elements with the tar and spice increased in intensity. Long finish and good acidity. Very tight and at this point the tannins modestly overpower the fruit. This needs time and patience will certainly be rewarded. It worked well with this evening's pasta in a tomato, basil and meat sauce. Good stuff and an excellent QPR.
