Sunday, November 21, 2010 - 15.0% alcohol. Dark purple-red color. Fantastic aromatics on the nose, with primary notes of blackberry, blueberry, and spice. In the mouth, brawny but retaining a juicy quality to the fruit. Loaded with up-front fruit, backed up by pleasant spicy notes, just enough acidity, and a tannic finish. Very youthful right now, but the quality is evident. A couple more years will help, but I wonder if the comparative lack of acidity would give the tannins time to fully resolve. More of an early-term drinker, in my estimation, and a delicious one at that. A-
