Sunday, January 3, 2010 - Nice wine, nothing mind-blowing but well made. Paired well with rack of lamb. Open 30 minutes prior to main drinking.

Color: Dark Garnet core with Ruby edges

Nose & Palate: Creme de cassis and black currant aromas lead to similar flavors plus some herbal sage and spice. Wonderfully smooth fine grained tannins lead to a great finish. More old school Napa and Bordeuax-like than most modern version of Napa Cabernet. It reminds me a bit of Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Fay, maybe a touch more fruit and not as savvy with the tannins. The finish was nice but could be longer though as some sips fell a little short on the back end. Still very enjoyable.
