Sunday, June 22, 2008 - This wine is opening up and still improving over the last tasting. The color is a shimmering, deep garnet. The nose is fairly open with scents of Lilac, Roses and dark cherry fruit with a hint of vanillin. The taste is very concentrated and mostly balanced with flavors of chewy red and black cherries, cassis, cherry pie and ripe plum. This wine is a great value and tastes right up there with its more famous brother.
