Wednesday, January 13, 2010 - Deep purple color and a nose of mixed dark red fruit. Bought from the winery 2 months ago. Decanted then stoppered 1 hour. Initial taste of very big fruit -- blackberries, black cherries, plum -- with some spice, leather and just a hint of earth all delivered in an elegant, silky package. Unlike some of these reviews, the fruit was largely open after the decant and did not continue to evolve over the hour of the meal ,and there was no excess alcohol evident. Served with roast tenderloin. Tannins were medium. Lovely finish.
