Thursday, October 3, 2013 - CV'd a glass tonight....a NV wine..but mainly 1997 fruit with some 98......starts off with a mushroom farm, leather, anise, currants.....as it opens, it loses some of that sous bois, and gains more cedar spice, black cherries, smoke....very youthful, plenty of lively cherry skin acidity and cedar spiced tannin....dried florals, not totally silky smooth, but more towards the Bord style than Cali...super integration of the earth, leather, and spice...well made, and holding strong. Would drink this all day long!
