Monday, February 15, 2016 - Fair amount of bricking at the edges with a reddish purple core. Super jammy huckleberry, blueberries, black currants, and plums on the nose upon opening which gave way to warm chocolate and vanilla notes and a hint of earthy dusty coffee. Tannins are fully integrated at this point and there is just a bit of acidity left in it as well. Expressive mid-palate and a medium plus finish make this a pretty damn good second wine although I'm not sure I see great QPR here at this price. Very enjoyable nonetheless!
