Monday, April 29, 2019 - Monthly Men's Wine Dinner (Purple Cafe, Bellevue, WA): Decanted and served. These are non-vintage wines and it oddly showed some secondary notes at first, then settled down to a beautiful, thick-bodied Cabernet showing some volcanic earth, cassis, and licorice on the palate. Chewy tannins and delicious. My #2 of 4 and the group's #4 in a very close competition.
