Thursday, February 20, 2020 - Opus One (SWS): According to the taster, this was 95% 2016. On the nose it's fresher/juicier than the Opus One. Cassis, with a hint of cabernet character from pyrazines. Floral/rosewater--with the caramel sweetness from the oak it's like turkish delight.

Medium tannins but not enough acid for mu tastes. Less hefty on the palate than the Opus One, without the fruit attack. Cassis/eucalyptus/mint/herbs. Medium plus alcohol. I bet this would have been really really impressive if I didn't drink it right after a flight of the other vintages of Opus One.
