Friday, November 9, 2018 - From 375ml. Pineapple, peach and orange on the nose along with floral qualities and just a touch of honey. Between medium and full bodied (7.5% ABV) with lots of tropical notes upfront (pineapple, mango), tempered slightly by rich orchard fruit notes (peach and pear). There's very good density through the mid-body, but as other reviewers note, not quite as much as some other Prum GK's. Backside shows tart orange, apple, some citrus notes and a nice blend of acidity and mineral notes along with a creaminess and some honey. But as with the depth, the acidity was not quite as lively as other GK vintages (the 2006 as one example). The highpoint of this wine was the fruit which was juicy and expressive with enough concentration and honey to show beautifully and just enough in the way of acidity to provide structure. This wine has the fruit to last for ages and it should continue to integrate well with additional cellar time.
