Saturday, March 10, 2018 - This was a fantastic bott of almost ethereal, perfectly mature Barolo, worth every penny.
Impulse open. Only 2 hours slow ox.
Dark mature red with a tinge of terracotta at the rim.
Nose matches the palate.
Very complex: smoke, tar, rose, truffle, cola, spice, confection, citrus, soy, hoisin, sweet dark cherries, violets, charcuterie, forest floor, it’s all there folks! Perfectly balanced and harmonious, youthful, high acidity, tannin prominent on the finish but quite fine.
