Thursday, March 17, 2016 - Golden color. Intense notes of smoke/botrytis, brown sugar, sweet spices, pineapple, mango and some citrus. It's medium-full bodied with creamy richness, but has refreshingly high lazer-sharp acidity and a pretty long, complex finish. So glad I bought this. A very unique and beautifully rich Spätlese with a lot of tension. I would try to pair this with foie gras and let the sweetness support the flavor and the acidity cut right through the richness of the dish. (93+)
